In actual fact, the results of a study* carried out in May 2008 on "The meeting seen by European managers*" are surprising:
Meetings are considered to last too long for 39% of European managers. Apart from the fact that they drag on, meetings also inspire a feeling of boredom (33%), uselessness (25%) and irritation (22%)!
The favourite ways of passing the time at meetings are many: the "to-do list", drawings in the notebook, finishing one's own presentation, answering e-mails, etc.
And to motivate them to attend a meeting? The hierarchical driving factor works for one manager out of two. And for almost a third, managers admit that arguments such as the meal tray offered, how others see them or again the good-looking contributor can play a part!
Finally, we all dream of captivating and energizing meetings: PAPERSHOW HELP!
